So I am a regular Blender user, making various models and trying to improve my skill in the software to get somewhere in the dream industry. I have been using Blender since September 2021, which means I have nearly 7 months of experience and knowledge in my head. With the 7 months of knowledge, I have been progressing from simple renders and models to 10 - 30 second animations.
At first it was testing the emission particles and creating fireflies, which I then used in my forest scene animation which only classed as a animation because the camera rotated around the scene and some objects changed colour over the seconds.
My next animation was a snowglobe animation which classed as a competition in my 3D class. My animation in that consisted of the lamp model swinging wide by side and using the emission particles again to create snow falling in the scene. I was really proud of this animation as it improved my skills and I also won 1st place out of my class.
My latest rendered animation was a student vs teacher competition in my 3D class again. The tutor gave us free range on what we could create, so I thought of improving my animation skills again and got to work. This
time, I made a 25 second animation of a first person perspective where the character is walking through the forest and encounters a werewolf. This helped me learn about animating the camera and moving the objects on certain keyframes. I was also really proud of this animation as well and I also won joint 1st place.
My next and current 3D animation project is going to be my biggest and most skilled animation as of yet, as I will be graded on this in my class. I have made the models and environment, I have even learnt how to make the lights flicker to cause mystery and effect. I am very excited for the outcome for this and how this will reflect my skills.
